Presenting The Truth Of The Bible

Noah's Ark

Video - Geologists are constantly finding evidence of a global flood, as recorded in the Book of Genesis. The ark that provided safety for Noah and his family is a fitting picture of the Lord Jesus and the “safety” He provides for those who trust Him. To all who believe on the Lord Jesus, the promise is given that they will “not perish but have everlasting life.”

The Scapegoat

Video - It is something that has worked its way into the English language itself – a scapegoat bearing the penalty of others. The Hebrew “Day of Atonement” involved the selection of a goat on whose head, in picture, the sins of the people were placed. It was then led away into the wilderness to die a lonely death. All this pointed us forward to the moment when Christ “bore our sins in His own body on the tree.” Through His death, sinners can have their sins paid for, purged, and removed forever.

The Water From The Rock

Video - Salvation is not a luxury; it is a necessity. And the provision of water for people traveling through the desert helps us understand how essential salvation is to each of us. The Lord Jesus told a Samaritan woman in John chapter 4 that He is the One Who gives “the gift of God … living water.” Just before the writing of the Bible concludes, John records these words in Revelation chapter 22: “Whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.”

The Judge Of All The Earth

Video - Since this is God’s creation, He has every right to require our obeying His laws. All of us have sinned and come short of His standard. His mercy and grace have provided a way for our sins to be forgiven so we will not be brought into judgment. But those who reject His offer of salvation will one day have to stand before the Judge of all the Earth. God will judge the world in righteousness. Instead of your being judged for your sins, you can have salvation and exemption from judgment through faith in Christ.

The Peace-Bringer

Video - Few things have been so elusive as peace – whether we think of that as global or personal peace. The title “Shiloh,” reminds us that the Lord Jesus is the One Who will bring peace to the entire world when He returns as King of Kings and Lord of Lords. The Gospel message tells us that men and women can have peace now, peace with God, through the Lord Jesus Christ.

The Sin Offering

Video - An unmistakable lesson in the Bible is that sin is a very costly thing and can only be forgiven if it is properly paid for and removed. Sinning Israelites had to bring an acceptable offering to atone for their sin. The Prophet Isaiah prophesied that the Lord Jesus would bare “the iniquity of us all.” The Apostle Peter recorded “Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the Just for the unjust, that He might bring us to God.” His resurrection proves that the Lord Jesus has made a sacrifice acceptable to God so that the offer of the forgiveness of sins can be announced to all.

The Eternal God

Video - As the eternal Son of God, the Lord Jesus, as well as God and Father and the Holy Spirit, bears this glorious title, “The eternal God.” Micah wrote that His “goings forth are from of old, from everlasting.” Isaiah wrote of Him as “The Mighty God, the Everlasting Father.” Paul wrote of Him as “God over all, blessed forever.” He is the One – not an angel, a heavenly seraph, or a mere mortal – Who undertook the mighty work of redemption to provide salvation for the world.

The Promised Prophet

Video - In the past, God raised up prophets to deliver His message to mankind. But the Book of Hebrews records that when God sent His Son, the Lord Jesus Himself was the message – all that He was and is declared all that God was and is. In fact, Hebrews chapter 1 seems to be saying that in the life and Person of His Son, God was speaking to us in a new language: “Son-language.”

The Promised Seed

Video - Called by theologians “The Protoevangelium” (the first Gospel), the promise God made in Genesis chapter 3 was of a Deliverer Who would rescue fallen mankind from sin and Satan. This Deliverer would be a Man, but He would be the “seed of the woman” because He would be born without sin. That promise was fulfilled by the Incarnation and virgin birth of the Lord Jesus, Who came to redeem sinners.

The Shepherd

Video - Few metaphors and similes are more common in the Bible than that of sheep and shepherd. Isaiah wrote that we were like straying sheep. David spoke of the Lord as “My Shepherd.” In the New Testament, the Lord Jesus said he was “The Good Shepherd” Who would “give His life for the sheep.” In explaining why He would save someone as unlikable as the dishonest tax-gatherer, Zacchaeus, the Saviour said that He “came to seek and to save that which was lost.”

The Rock

Video - Speaking of the Lord Jesus as “our Rock” is both a picturesque and a memorable way of describing the immovable and solid foundation for faith that we have. In Matthew chapter 7, the Lord Jesus described those who trust Him and His Word as builders resting their house on a foundation that will outlast the severest storm. Those who rest their soul on the Word of God have an enduring, eternal, and unshakable foundation that will survive the storm of death and the ages of eternity.

The Saviour of the World

Video - The details of Joseph’s life – his being hated, betrayed by his brothers, falsely accused, but eventually reaching the throne – are recorded in the Bible to help us understand what the Lord Jesus, in a deeper way, endured when He was rejected, hated, betrayed, and crucified. Joseph’s wisdom and work provided physical “salvation” during a terrible famine. The death and resurrection of the Lord Jesus have provided an eternal salvation of sufficient value to save the whole world.
